Bob Barnes was born in Huntington Park California in 1944.
He grew up listening to big band music then in the 1950's he was introduced to rock and roll.
He started taking piano lessons at age nine and later learned saxophone.
He was in high school and college dance bands as well as concert and marching bands.
He attended Fullerton College from 1962 to 1966. His first job was at Disneyland.
He has three children and six grandchildren.
He has been a church keyboardist for many years.
Since retiring in 2006 he gives tours two days a week at Historic St. Luke's Church in Smithfield.
He began doing midis a few years ago.
He uses the Yamaha 305 DGX and records in real-time.
Bob and his wife Val reside in Smithfield, VA, USA.
